Position: Project Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Associate
Location: Mwanza, Tanzania (with regional assignments in East Africa)
Contract Type: Full Time Equivalent (FTE)

Our mission is to strengthen NGO capacity in financial management, compliance, and impact measurement, ensuring donor-funded projects deliver sustainable results.

Role Summary
The M&E Associate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and reporting monitoring and evaluation frameworks for client projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, donor compliance knowledge, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for NGOs and their stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design of project-specific M&E frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools.
• Conduct baseline surveys, mid-term reviews, and end-line evaluations.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Prepare donor-compliant reports, dashboards, and impact assessments.
• Train NGO staff in M&E methodologies and digital tools.
• Identify lessons learned and best practices to improve project outcomes.
• Any other tasks as may be assigned to you but with relevance to your primary job post.

Qualification Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Postgraduate diploma or Master’s in Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management, or Public Policy is an added advantage.
• Professional certification in Monitoring & Evaluation or Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in M&E roles within NGOs, donor-funded projects, or consultancy firms.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, Kobo Toolbox).
• Strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with donor compliance requirements (USAID, EU, DFID, UN agencies).
